The Art of Charcoal
On January 21, bring your children to CushCush Gallery and let them practice their creativity by joining in the third session of the “Charcoal for Children” workshop. Organized by CushCush Gallery, this workshop is a part of the gallery’s LagiLagi program and is a continuation of the previous “Make Your Own Charcoal” class. However, as the last workshop invited children to recycle off-cuts into daily utensils like spoons and forks, this time the CushCush Gallery will share how to turn twigs or off-cut timbers into drawing charcoal. Children will be able to draw and paint using charcoal as well as learn new techniques and make collaborative artwork with some invited artists. This workshop also aims to increase children’s awareness of the environment and raise some funds for LagiLagi’s future projects. The CushCush Gallery will also display all the artwork made during this workshop including the ones created during the first and second sessions of “Charcoal for Children” that were held in September and October of 2016. Contact the gallery for more information on the exhibition.
