It’s Family Time
The newly opened Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali is the latest gem in Jimbaran for a perfect family weekend getaway...
This island is never short on family-friendly resorts, yet this new gem in Jimbaran tops it off with numerous facilities for the whole family. Standing next to The Samasta Lifestyle Village, also the newest shopping and dining complex in town, Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali brings Swiss hospitality standards to the island and combines it with Bali’s quintessential design and warm service, resulting in a comfortable hotel for all ages beyond expectation...
Family Comes Frist
Nestled 100 meters away from the pristine beach of Jimbaran Bay, the resort is only 15 minutes away from Ngurah Rai International Airport, making it one of the perfect choices for a weekend getaway in Bali. The hotel is so close to the airport that the airport building and airplanes taking off and landing become the background of the alfresco lobby, along with the view of the tranquil ocean.
The resort has a total of 297 rooms in seven different types – Classic Rooms, Classic Pool View Rooms, Junior Suites, Family Rooms, Family Pool View Rooms, Premium Suites and Jimbaran Pool Suites. For a family of three, the Classic Pool View is one of the best options with either a king-size bed or a twin bed. The room is 34 square meters large, and is even more comfortable with modern and sleek design. The bathroom is separated with a glass window that I personally think is a smart design as it makes the room feel more spacious, although the glass windows can be covered by curtains for some privacy.
The Classic Pool View – just like the rest of the suites and rooms – is also equipped with an LED TV and complimentary Wi-Fi connection. But the best feature is the balcony that overlooks the resort’s vast manicured garden, main swimming pool and the kid’s pool. So, parents – or at least one of the parents – can unwind at the balcony while the children play at the pool within eyesight.
The Junior Suite and Premium Suite are also the perfect choice for a family of three who needs more space. Meanwhile, a family of four can opt for the Family Room or the Family Pool View. But whichever room you choose, your children are privileged for free access to the Meera Kid’s Club.
Aside from its comfortable suites and rooms, Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali has entertainment for all ages, which makes the resort more like a playground for all family members.
The first and foremost is their swimming pools that cover a total of 2,900 square meters. Not only does the resort have a lap pool, they also have a vast free-form main swimming pool with an artificial beach area. This free-form pool is made complete with daybeds, beanbags and cabana for guests to unwind by the pool and a number of colorful pool floats for those who just want to snooze under the sun.
Meanwhile, the little ones can have all the fun in the children’s water park that is designed with water jets on the floor and showerheads, splashing water all over the area. The children will also have fun at the Meera Kid’s Club, while the teens will be kept busy at the Teen Club on the second floor that provides a number of entertaining experiences.
The fun doesn’t stop there as Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali offers a list of delicious dishes at its restaurants – try some Swiss- style ice cream and sweet treats at Mövenpick Cafe or some refreshing drinks at Katha Lobby Lounge & Library. The all-day dining Anarasa restaurant presents live cooking stations and international dishes – don’t forget to nibble some of their melted raclette cheese with a piece of fresh bread for breakfast, another inspiration from the Swiss that the resort brings to the island.
And of course, The Samasta Lifestyle Village is right next door with numerous restaurants, cafes and shops for you to experience the modern life of Bali.
