Let’s have best cocktails in Bali to end the year with our contributor, Gendhis Dover...

Being a party haven, Bali is on everyone’s mind when it comes to celebrating this coming New Year. That being said, what is a New Year’s celebration without a glass of amazing libation in hand? To help you pick the right ones, here is the list of Bali’s best new cocktails.

    Bali’s Best Cocktails

    Ginger ‘N Rore

For an evening surrounded by an eclectic atmosphere by the beach, head down to Tree Bar at Seminyak’s newest five-star resort, Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach. The Tree Bar may be “hidden” in a resort, but don’t even think that it’s just like any other hotel bars. Presenting a unique concept of “healthy bar by day and speakeasy galore by night”, Tree Bar also boasts an equally distinctive cocktail concept – BALIXOLOGY. Infusing Bali’s traditional arak liquor with locally-sourced herbs and ingredients, the range of BALIXOLOGY cocktails are literally incomparable. Among all of their so many creations, you should try their Ginger n Rose. Presented in a unique Jakobsen cocktail glass, this unique cocktail features the natural chemical magic where it changes color as you pour the provided shot of lemon juice into the ginger infused arak Bali, mixed with fresh rosemary, Butterfly Pea infused water and homemade ginger syrup concoction. Don’t believe us? Try it yourself.

    Vitamin Sea

Looking for a midday mood booster? The Vitamin Sea at Kubu Beach Club in AYANA Resort and Spa Bali is probably the only vitamin you’ll need during your Bali getaway. This refreshing yet lethal concoction of vodka, citrus, kaffir lime leaves and cocktail bitters provides that great kick you need to beat the heat. Served in a bamboo glass with aromatic garnish of frangipani flower and lemongrass, this drink blends perfectly with the beach club’s fisherman’s-cottage-inspired laidback atmosphere, and a plate of their Cajun Shrimp Popcorn – the whole cocktail experience here can easily become your holiday highlight. However there’s a catch– pun intended–, the only way you can get your hands on this amazing cocktail is if you are an in-house guest at either AYANA Resort and Spa Bali or RIMBA Jimbaran Bali.

    Son of a Beach

For a libation to accompany your sun-tanning session on top of Uluwatu’s limestone cliff overlooking the sparkling Indian Ocean beyond, head out to the newly-opened Ulu Cliffhouse, where the cool crowds come and gather to enjoy their down time under the sun. This new hangout presents a wide range of amazing libations, which will leave you spoiled for choice. So to make it easier for you, we recommend their Son of a Beach – a fresh concoction of gin, house tonic syrup, pomelo and rosemary – which has bitter yet refreshing flavors that will be amazing company to your lazy time by the pool. However, for those who aren’t really into gin-based libation, their Cucumber Number is the one to go for. Featuring a mixture of vodka, manzana verde, cucumber, thyme, cloudy apple and a dash of soda, this cocktail will defi nitely boost your mood amidst the draining heat of Bali.

    D’sface

Adding to revelry venues along Petitenget Street in Seminyak is AYA Street with its devilishly delicious Peruvian cuisine and a page full of cocktail offerings. Only open during dinner time, this new restaurant and bar is the perfect spot to watch the crowd as you take a sip (or a swig—we don’t judge) of their amazing libations. Ranging from cute and flirty cocktails, to creamy and filling, or strong and heavy drinks, their cocktail menu will sure to whet everyone’s alcohol appetite. However, since we are here to make your life easier when it comes to making the decision to pick your favorite potion, we recommend their D’Face. Adding a unique twist to the classic old-fashioned cocktail, D’Face presents a lethal and – literally – flaming concoction of pure pressed ginger juice, lime Sumbawa black honey, sugarcane liquor, soda water, spiced bitter and garnished spices on fire, that will leave you wanting for more!
