‘ Om Swastiastu...’
Summer time has passed but it doesn’t mean that Bali is short on fun activities to do. In fact, you can spend this month taking a break from all of those parties to detox yourself. Taking care of your own health – inside and out – is essential. That’s why, in this edition we present you a number of activities that not only helps rejuvenate your body, mind and soul but also makes you one with nature.
For a start, you can have some “me“ time at The Beach Spa at Belmond Jimbaran Puri to have an Ayurveda treatment that will relax your muscles and mind after a long week at work. Find out more about it in our ‘INVITE & INDULGE’. Then, go to Ubud and indulge in a healthy yet delicious meal with a view of greenery at Moksa Plant-Based Restaurant & Permaculture Garden – read in ‘DINE & DELIGHTS’ to reveal their food story.
Once you have reenergized yourself with a spa treatment and healthy delights, it is time to be one with nature. A visit to the Kul Kul Farm will give you more insights on organic produce – we share our adventure at the farm in ‘LIFESTYLE & LEISURE’. Meanwhile, a stay experience at Plataran Menjangan Resort & Spa will also get you closer to Mother Earth as it is nestled within the West Bali National Park where wild deer often graze in their green spaces. Other adventures await you at the resort which you will discover in our ‘REST & RELAXATION’.
From outside Bali, our contributor Marge shares her experience staying at Earthship, a self-sufficient, sustainable building in West Sumbawa, while Edna Tarigan scouts Jakarta for healthy drinks, food and organic produce in ‘BEYOND BALI’ and ‘CAPITAL CORNER’ respectively.
All in all, we wish you good health and happy flipping through our pages!
ERRATA: The Brighton Brawl happened in Brighton Beach in the UK, not Australia like we mistakenly put in our ‘LITTLE LOVES’ section in August 2017 issue.
