Indulge in some “me” time at the newly opened Sava Spa in the heart of Seminyak...

Nestled opposite of the hotel entrance within the Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach complex, Sava Spa offers a new secluded sanctuary in the heart of Seminyak. The spa welcomes both staying and non-staying guests, offering selections of beauty treatments incorporated with rituals and techniques not only from Bali, but also Thailand and China.

The design of the spa is very much inspired by the surroundings – this sanctuary stands near one of the springs in Seminyak, and that’s why the spa is decorated with a pond at the back. This is also the reason why the spa uses water as an important element in their rituals. For instance, each treatment starts with a blessing ritual where the therapist splashes the heads and the hands of the guests with holy water that is sourced from the spring.

Once the blessing ritual is done, the whole beauty journey begins...

    Ultimate Rejuvenation
Sava Spa has selections of amazing signature treatments, one of them being the Journey of Siamese Purity. The 180-minute treatment gives the ultimate relaxation, combining Thai massage techniques with Jasmine essence body scrub and massage oil from Harnn skincare.

Just like the rest of the treatments at Sava Spa, the Journey of Siamese Purity pampers guests with a 10-minute compulsory footbath after the blessing ritual. Using citrus and a concoction of spices (including pandanus, ginger, lime, anis star, and bath salt), the footbath makes a refreshing antiseptic. Then, the therapist will ask the guest to lie on the massage bed, facing down. When the guest lies comfortably on the bed, the therapist marks the start of the treatment by gently tap the Tibetan singing bowl to create a positive energy and help the guest to feel even more relaxed.

The first part of the journey is the 90-minute massage. Using massage oil with Jasmine essence from Harnn, the massage combines stretching and palm techniques to ease sore muscles. This treatment is the perfect choice for those who like hard pressures as the therapist also uses elbow techniques. The combination of these pressures and the massage oil is amazing to stimulate and help smoothen blood circulation.

The massage is followed by a 30-minute body scrub. With Harnn’s Jasmine-essence body scrub, this part of the ritual is splendid to help regenerate new cells. Then, guests take a shower, but the ritual is not done yet. Guests go back to the treatment room where the therapist applies body lotion. The journey will then be continued with the last and final step; the 60-minute facial using Harnn’s Water Lily skincare for rejuvenation.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT SAVA SPA:

    • Sava Spa uses Harnn, a rice-based quality beauty brand from Thailand that is made of pure natural ingredients without any man-made chemicals. Guests can find and purchase one of these products at the spa’s retail therapy shop.
    • Other signature treatments to try are the Balinese and Oriental ritual. The Balinese combines long-stroke massages using a hot stone, followed by a rice-based body scrub and Balinese herbal facial. The Oriental consists of deep-tissue massage and body scrub with Harnn’s Rose oil and scrub, as well as a facial with Harnn’s Water Lily.
    • Once the ritual is over, guests continue pampering at the relaxation lounge, accompanied by a healthy drink. Sava Spa offers a variety of Signature Healing Elixirs in three categories; “Rejuvenating”, “Refreshing” and “Relaxing”, each one presents three choices of drinks that include rice tea, loloh (Indonesian herbal drink) and infused water.
